Master Director 700 Vickie Maybury is a highly sought-after coach known for helping singers “find their voices” through a highly engaging teaching style. Vickie serves as a member of the International Judge Specialist Committee as the Expression Category Specialist, on the Sweet Adelines International Board of Directors, is a Certified Expression Judge, and is Certified International Faculty. She is co-chair of the 2020 International Education Symposium: “Invest in Yourself, Empower Others, Sing as One.”
Vickie has been the Denver-based Skyline Chorus’s musical director since 1984. Inspired by her exceptional leadership, Skyline has ranked in the top 5 Sweet Adelines International choruses since 2005.
Vickie’s expansive teaching repertoire includes vocal production, the psychology of performance and competition, understanding how the Expression Category affects performance, the art of expressive singing, singing with freedom, resonance, and ring, along with classes on leadership, effective team development, empowering women, and identifying and supporting emerging leaders.
Vickie’s greatest joy is celebrating the successes of those she is privileged to work with.
