I’m very happy to remind all that we now officially have a list of Regional songsJ  Region 8 has purchased from Int’l the MASS SING songbook and a set of learning CDs for each chorus (Each chorus should have a set, delivered 3 years ago, or replaced recently, as the case may be).  Out of that book we have chosen 8 songs that we’d like to consider Regional songs for all singers in our Region to become familiar with, learn and sing at our Regional events.  Each chorus will need to purchase an appropriate number of books (Int’l also has  individual sheet music for each of the songs in the songbook) and CDs to accommodate their singers.  Intn’l Sales has said that if choruses purchase from 25-49 copies of either, they will give a 10% discount, from 50-75, a 15% discount and for 76 or more a 20% discount.   Those songs from the book are the following:

Battle Hymn

Best of Times

Carolina in the Morning

How We Sang Today

That’s What Friends Are For

There I've Said It Again

We’ll Meet Again

You’re the Spirit of Sweet Adelines

The Winner’s Song – not yet in our repertoire

In addition to the above songs, we will continue to sing the now three  songs that are special to us (In the Heart of the Rockies, I’ve Got the World On A String  and We Go Together, for which we have learning tapes), as well as others that we’ll add from time to time.  We will be adding “There, I’ve Said It Again” and “Chordbusters” soon.

Thanks for your patience, and let’s get to singingJ

With a song,
